seeing mame in 1998 was quite imppressive being able to play old arcade classics
I have watched so many of these videos and downloaded so many versions of mame. nothing works. I got mame to work once on another pc years ago. but I can’t remember what I did or even what version I was using. I’m about ready to give up. this shit is way too complicated. nothing like console emulation.

Hey thank you bro, this really helped me out alot. I downloaded Mame a couple of years ago with a friend. Ever since then I’ve been a huge fan of this emulator. I’ll check out some of your other videos, but thanks again for this one.
@trisclay1652 Not really extra content. Most games have different versions for different regions. There are many game mods/hacks available too. Just download the most popular version of whatever game you want and you should be fine. Only download anything else if you know what you are getting.
@bitburner I don’t believe you need a CHD for Marvel Vs. Capcom. I can run it with no problem and I don’t remember needing a CHD file.
@MrSupermaniac123 I agree it is complicated to an extent. But this thing emulates LOTS of different arcade machine hardware. It is made by people who give their free time to the project and release it for free. It also has been forked and the root project handed over to many different devs over a long period of time…it’s become a bit disenfranchised.

@Migz4Prez There may be a chd that goes with that one. I forget but you may just have the rom and it also needs a chd (Compressed Hard Disk) for some resources
