Because the name Wii is attached to it. You would think it wouldn’t happen since there is the Super Nintendo. However, looking at the 3DS, despite having a clear diffrence in the name, it still confused plently of people.
Super Wii is no better than Wii-U.

In short its like trying to convince a random guy that the I phone 4 and the I phone 4S are not the same. (Sorry for double posting).
While their at it change the design also it looks to much like a wii. I can just picture te frustrated children trying to convince their parents to buy a system that looks and is named like the one they already have at home.
Names that I might like to see (if the system changes its name):
(1) Ultra N (short for Ultra Nintendo)
(2) Nintendo Stratos
(3) Nintendo Nebula
